Zimbabwean Woven Basket

Tonga Baskets were traditionally used for winnowing grains and for storage by the Binga people of Zimbabwe. 

The workmanship that goes into making these beautiful pieces is amazing, from harvesting of the ilala palm leaves, drying, and dyeing with natural dye derived from tree bark, it can take up to two weeks to make one of these beauties.
